Come together to celebrate the music, culture, history, and spirit of the music of the United States. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our community to enjoy the sounds and traditions that have had such a powerful influence in music around the world.
The Merrimack Valley Concert Band is a community concert band located in West Newbury, Massachusetts. The band rehearses every Tuesday night from 7:00pm-9:00pm in West Newbury, Massachusetts. Formerly known as the West Newbury Veteran Fireman's Association Concert Band, the organization harkens back to the days when rural communities throughout New England fought fires with volunteers, bucket brigades, and horse drawn/hand pumped fire apparatus.
The Band repertoire is a broad mix of popular, jazz, swing, patriotic and Broadway tunes taken from the 'Great American Songbook.' Instrumentation includes wind instruments, drums, glockenspiel - even a string bass.
Come experience the magic of concert band music at the common at Hampton Falls!!!!!!!
Whether you choose to get up and dance, sing along, or simply relax and tap your toes, you'll experience the best of summer in New England—great performers, great company, and the enduring tradition of gathering on the town common for an evening of live entertainment.
